New Hanover County has received more than $72M in state and federal funds

FEMA Issues Report

According to a new report issued by FEMA last week, New Hanover County residents have received more than $72 million in state and federal funds since FEMA issued its disaster declaration. Almost $40 million of those federal funds are in form of SBA disaster loans have been approved for 985 homeowners and 130 businesses.

New Hanover county is also seeking additional funds to make use of available technology to assist in predictive flood modeling. The county has setup a new office called the Hurricane Florence Recovery Coordination Office. Visit their site here.
